We are saddened to hear about the passing of Hand Hills' long time rodeo announcer Barry Boghean.

We were very fortunate to have Barry Boghean as our Rodeo Announcer for many, many years and our Rodeo Committee would like to pay tribute to this great man. These pictures show Barry doing what he loved and what he did best, being a Rodeo Announcer. We were fortunate to have Barry announce his final Hand Hills Lake Stampede this past June at our 100th Stampede. Barry will forever be remembered as the voice of our rodeo and he will have big shoes to fill. Rest Easy Barry.
